SUMMARY:  Can't convert tab-delimited text into a table element, only a simpletable ?
ISSUE:  When I try to convert tab-separated paragraphs to a table (Table > Convert to Table), I see that I can only select the <simpletable> element tag, even when I select the FormatA or Table table format. Does this mean that I can only convert paragraphs to a <simpletable>? I’d like to convert to <table> instead. Is there any way to do this?
SOLUTION:  This will work by wrapping the tab-delimited paragraphs in a <table> element, then selecting those paragraphs again and using the Convert to Table command. As long as the paragraphs you're trying to convert are within a <table> element you should see the <tgroup> element in the list.
BACKGROUND:  The <table> element isn't a "table" object (as defined by the EDD). The <table> element is just a container object that holds a <title> and the <tgroup> element. The <tgroup> element is the actual table object. When you use the Convert to Table command, FM only show you the "table object" elements that are valid at the location of the selected content.
