SUMMARY:  Convert to Table command only lists "simpletable"
ISSUE:  When using the .. Table > Convert to Table .. command, only the simpletable (or simpletable-based tables) are listed as an available table type. I want to create a "table" table.
SOLUTION:  1) Select the elements that contain the text to convert to a table.
2) Wrap them in a table element (select the elements, select "table" in the element catalog, then choose Wrap) .. you'll now have an invalid structure, but that's OK.
3) Now select the elements within the table (but not the table itself) and use the .. Table > Convert to Table .. command.
BACKGROUND:  This happens because the actual "table" object is <tgroup> not <table>. <table> is a container and <tgroup> is the table .. and since <tgroup> isn't valid at the insertion point (unless it's within a <table> element) it's not showing up on the list.
